Recently, the author participated in the HACCP management training of Korean food safety organized by KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency). During his stay in Korea, he had extensive exchanges with officials of the Food Safety Policy Section, Food Import Section, Food-borne Disease Prevention and Investigation Section and Food Standards Department of the Korean Food and Drug Safety Agency (KF-DA). He also visited KFDA headquarters, KFDA Seoul Local Office and other Korean food safety management departments. Through communication, exchanges and visits, we have a comprehensive understanding of Korea's imported food/agricultural products inspection and quarantine system.
