Energy Efficiency Standards For Industrial Boilers Have Been Implemented

- Jan 10, 2019 -

According to the research of relevant institutions, industrial boilers rank first in the energy-saving potential list of major energy-consuming products in China. Ninety percent of industrial boilers in China use coal as fuel, consuming hundreds of millions of tons of raw coal each year, and releasing millions of tons of sulfur dioxide and dust. Compared with the average efficiency of foreign boilers, the average efficiency of coal-fired boilers in China is 12%-15%. If the operating efficiency of industrial boilers is raised from an average of 65% to 75%, more than 30 million tons of standard coal can be saved annually, and the emission reduction of pollutants will reach more than 20 million tons of carbon, more than 300,000 tons of nitrogen oxides, more than 500,000 tons of sulfur dioxide and more than 2 million tons of fine particulate matter. It is of great significance to save energy and protect the environment.

Since the promulgation and implementation of "Energy Efficiency Marking Management Measures" in 2005, China has successively formulated energy efficiency standards and implemented energy efficiency marking system for 21 types of energy-consuming products, such as household refrigerators, small and medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motors. It is reported that the relevant departments will successively formulate energy efficiency standards and implement energy efficiency labels for water dispensers, oil fumes, incandescent lamps, industrial electric furnaces, welding machines, public buildings, residential buildings and vehicles.
